Iconic singer Madonna recently welcomed four-year- old twin girls to her family through adoption from Malawi. She famously adopted two children also from Malawi back in 2006 and 2009. This week, she took to social media to share their names after previously sharing the news of the finalized adoptions.

There are 650 Orphans at Home of Hope where Estere and Stelle have lived for 4 years since they were 5 days old. Run by the generous and compassionate Rev. Chipeto and his daughter Lucy, Raising Malawi has been working with HOH for over 10 years since I met my son David there. If you would like to get involved by volunteering or donations go to Raising Malawi.org . Every little bit helps!!!

The singer’s previous adoptions from the country of Malawi were fraught with controversy from the beginning, when she adopted a son from the same home in 2006. This adoption sounds as if it might have some similar concerns with regard to the twin girls’ biological father, as reported recently by The Sun, a UK news outlet.

It appears as if the girls are settling in nicely to their new family. The February adoption of Estere and Stelle follows the adoptions of David Banda and Mercy James, and brings her family to 6 children now, including her biological children Lourdes and Rocco. We wish them all well as they adjust to their new family life.
