John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen are remaining very open about their choice to do IVF (in vitro fertilization). Last year they welcomed their daughter Luna after a 9 year struggle with infertility.

Legend spoke with Newsweek earlier this month on a wide range of topics in the news today. He had this to say about their fertility struggles and the decision to be so open in the media about their path:

Some people can’t reproduce naturally. We’re glad we had Luna the way we did, and hopefully we’ll have a few more kids through IVF. We think it’s a viable issue for people having fertility issues and encourage people that can’t have kids the old-fashioned way to do it the way we’ve done it.

The couple hopes to have more children. Teigen, who is very active on social media, recently tweeted her plans for baby #2. “Since this is coming up again, I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah.”

“And no, I am not pregnant.”

We love their openness and honesty about the struggle of infertility and parenting little Luna.
