2016 Foster Youth Internship ProgramThe Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) is proud to announce that they are accepting applications for the 2016 Foster Youth Internship Program. The Foster Youth Internship Program is for any young adult who has spent (1) at least 24 consecutive months and/or (2) at least a total of 36 months in the U.S. foster care system. Participants spend two months in Washington, D.C. interning for a member of the United States Congress and writing a policy report that is presented at briefings to Congress and the White House. It’s an amazing opportunity for the participants to learn about government and policy making and an excellent opportunity for members of Congress to learn firsthand the experiences of youth in foster care and go on to use their new knowledge to inspire legislative change.

If you know of any former foster child who would be interested in this life-changing opportunity, they can find more information and the application at the CCAI website.
