Waiting Child Zoya Zeke Photo 3 August 2014 - September 2014Siblings Zoya and Zeke were born in July 2000 and August 2001 respectively. Both are healthy and developmentally on target.

Zoya is a calm, balanced and sensitive child who interacts well with other children and adults. Her self-help skills. logical thinking abilities and memory are well developed. Even though Zoya is motivated to learn and applies herself to her studies with diligence, she has trouble with two subjects in school.

Zoya is a creative and artistic teen. She writes, draws and paints beautifully. She is especially interested in fashion design and also plays the guitar. Zoya reads fiction and likes poetry. She feels most joyful when practicing modern dance and singing in the folklore choir.

Zeke is an agile, cheerful and sympathetic boy who communicates well with peers and adults. He has completed 6th grade with the help of a resource teacher and makes an effort to overcome his academic delays. Zeke is handy and likes to engage in practical activities. He also enjoys singing and dancing and plays the xylophone and drums.

Zoya and Zeke lived with their birth mother until 2011. They must be adopted together.

Update August 2014: Our in-country representative visited Zoya and Zeke and found them to be a wonderful sibling group that dreams of having a family, but has almost lost hope. They understand that they are older and that most people wish to adopt younger children.

Zoya is a lovely young teen who is artistically talented in several areas. She loves to sing, dance, draw, design, and play the guitar.

Zeke is a handsome, well-behaved teen who has the temperament of a comedian. He plays three instruments quite well and is always interested in furthering his knowledge of music. Zeke jogs daily and enjoys playing soccer with his friends.

These siblings have a complicated history, including much back and forth between different orphanages and living with their birth father or mother. During these years of personal unrest, Zoya and Zeke fell behind academically, but both are smart and motivated now to make up their scholastic delays. Despite their experiences, they appear socially and emotionally healthy and are well attached to one another.

Our in-country representative believes that Zoya and Zeke would bring much happiness to an adoptive family that would give them the chance to have a stable home with supportive parents who can guide them to adulthood and help them reach their great potential.
