Ziggy was born extremely prematurely in June 2013 and has been diagnosed with internal hydrocephalus (shunt installed), fifth degree retinopathy of prematurity (blindness), a heart defect, and delayed development. Ziggy has a good appetite and a stable weight curve. He sleeps calmly and is rarely ill. He's largely immobile, but lately has been showing improvement in head control. He takes and holds toys only with his right hand.

Ziggy is a calm little boy who enjoys the touch of others and experiences the world via tactile and auditory stimuli. He laughs, becomes animated, and shows emotional responses when teased, spoken to, or given affection. Ziggy receives kinesitherapy. He's waiting for a forever family that can help him reach his fullest potential.
