Gentle Ava has low muscle tone. Her head control is good, she sits upright when supported on both sides, stands holding onto a fixed support, and can take several steps holding an adult’s hand.  Ava babbles, responds to her name, and understands everything her foster mother says to her. She is a curious little girl who actively explores her environment, is interested in new objects, and loves musical toys.  Ava plays independently at times but also actively seeks to engage adults in play.  She is a delicate, affectionate little girl who has formed a clear attachment to her foster mother.
