Abbot was born prematurely in June 2010 and has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy with severe spastic quadriparesis.  His development is significantly delayed. Abbot can roll in both directions and sit unassisted.  He cannot stand or walk without support, but moves himself in a baby walker.  He reaches for toys, holds them and explores them.  Abbot is not potty-trained yet and needs help to eat. Abbot is nonverbal, but interacts with smiles, crying, facial expressions, movements, and sounds.  He does not seem to understand what is said to him and does not follow instructions.  He rarely plays with other children, but seeks contact with adults, typically to get his needs met. Abbot has daily sessions with a rehabilitator and an educator.  He lived with his birth parents until he was two. Abbot weight in October 2015: 10.5 kg Abbot height in October 2015: 91.5 cm
