Deacon was born in November 2001 and has been diagnosed with farsightedness and hypopituitarism, resulting in shorter height. He takes medication for the latter condition. Deacon's development is delayed.

Deacon is a calm, optimistic teen with good intentions who seeks attention and support from adults and gladly joins his peers in group work, activities, and games. His fine motor and self-help skills are age-appropriate while he shows slight difficulties with coordination in gross motor tasks.

Deacon has completed 7th grade with the help of a resource teacher. He can read and solve mathematical problems to 100. Deacon's expressive speech is affected by agrammatism and dislalia for which he receives speech therapy.

Deacon hopes to join a family through adoption.
