• Unexplained Infertility

Unexplained InfertilityUnexplained infertility is one of the hardest infertility diagnosis to receive and also one of the most common. Up to 30% of infertility patients are “diagnosed” with unexplained infertility.

Without a known cause, it is difficult for infertility doctors to treat the problem or to predict the chance of success. Not knowing the cause for your infertility also gets in the way of decision making and coping. It leaves fertility patients in the position of grasping for a cure and not knowing when to stop.

One of the best places to start understanding this frustrating infertility diagnosis is by listening to this great Creating a Family show interviewing a leading reproductive endocrinologist on Unexplained Infertility: Causes and Treatment.

You might also find our interview on the Causes and Treatments of  Secondary Infertility to be helpful if you are facing the diagnosis of secondary infertility (the inability to get pregnant and have a baby after successfully giving birth).
