Lena Dunham, star of HBO’s Girls, has opened up about her battle with endometriosis in the eighth edition of her popular newsletter Lenny Letter. Dunham’s description of endometriosis and how it has effected her life and emotional well-being is poignant and well-written. It is always good when celebrities can shine a light on the often invisible disease of infertility, and hopefully Dunham’s struggles will help and support other women suffering from endometriosis.
