Increasing the Chance of Getting an Infertility Grant

Q&A with the Experts

Increasing the Chance of Getting an Infertility GrantQ: How can you increase your chances of being selected for an infertility grant?

A: Be honest in your personal statement – both about your journey through infertility- as well as about your needs. If you only need a certain amount- don’t ask for the maximum amount just because it is available. Also if you need the maximum amount and the cost is significantly greater- show how you plan to make up the difference between the grant award and the overall cost.

Dr. Camille Hammond and her husband, Dr Jason Hammond, co founded the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation in 2005 to provide support to families with infertility.

This topic was discussed in more detail on the Creating a Family show: Grants for Infertility Treatment: Affording IVF as well as our blog: How to Get a Grant for Fertility Treatment.
