HendersonsA NY couple donated embryos to a family from across the country in Oregon and in the process, the two women connected profoundly. Kelli Glassman says, “I loved that I could experience pregnancy, and I wanted our kids to have a relationship with their genetic family.” Rebecca Henderson says the moment she and her husband opened the Glassman’s file, “we knew. We just knew.” What they didn’t know was just how deep and lasting a friendship would form out of the experience.

These families used an agency that uses the adoption model for donating and receiving embryos and opted to share identifying information and contact.
