Potential bad news for lovers of green tea. A new study from the University of California-Irvine has found that frequently drinking green tea might have an adverse affect on fertility. The study looks at the affect of green tea on the development and reproduction in fruit fly, and has not specifically tested the effects of green tea on human fertility. Mahtab Jafari, associate professor of pharmaceutical sciences, says, “While green tea could have health benefits at low doses, our study and others have shown that at high doses, it may have adverse effects.”
