Resolve New England is actively seeking your support regarding two important bills before the Massachusetts legislature.
The first bill is as follows:
SD 1321/HD 2631 – An Act relative to Preserving Fertility, lead sponsor Senator Cynthia Creem and Representative Kevin Honan
This bill would provide insurance coverage for fertility preservation, such as egg or sperm freezing, for those facing a medical diagnosis and/or treatment that can impair their future fertility. This includes, but is not limited to, people dealing with cancer.
The second bill is here:
SD 722/HD 1388 – An Act relative to Parentage to Promote Children’s Security, lead sponsors Senator Bruce Tarr and Representative Kay Khan
This bill seeks to ensure that Massachusetts parentage statutes protect all children regardless of the circumstances of their conception or birth by clarifying who can be a parent and how to establish parentage. By updating our statutes regarding parentage, including through assisted reproductive technology, this bill will increase the security of children and will bring greater efficiency to our court system.
