People with Disabilities Can Foster or Adopt



Adoptive Parents with disabilitiesDespite many age-old biases, people with disabilities can foster or adopt.  There is a growing number of quality resources for parents or potential parents with disabilities. Adopt US Kids offers some great information on organizations and websites where “parents with disabilities can tap the knowledge and benefit from the experiences of an online community of families.” Also, read the inspiring story of Carrie Ann Lucas (born with mitochondrial myopathy) and her fight for her 4 adoptive children.

    me and my husband have health issues but we still want to help others in life we have a daughter who is now 20 we gave her a new life at 6 weeks old and can say how proud we are ov her she done so well in life we want to help other kids not so lucky
