Herschel started out life with the odds stacked against him. He was born with a serious heart defect where his aorta and pulmonary arteries were switched and he was abandoned by his parents. He needs surgery to save his life, and you and I can help without even having to spend one red cent. Check out his picture–it could melt your heart.
Love Without Boundaries Foundation is raising money for Herschel’s surgery and growing their “fan” base at the same time. A donor is contributing one dollar towards Herschel’s surgery for every “like” LWB gets on their Facebook Fan page.* They need your help, and hey, it’s a twofer. You get to support a great nonprofit and help little Herschel lead a long and full life. All this for two clicks. What a bargain! Click here and then click “LIKE” at the top of the page. That’s it.
I have long been a fan of Love Without Boundaries. They began in 2003 after a group of adoptive parents came together to help save the life of another little Chinese boy in need of heart surgery. It has since grown to become a worldwide group of volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of orphaned and impoverished children in China by providing humanitarian aid in the following areas – Education, Foster Care, Healing Homes, Medical, and Orphanage Assistance – enabling children to receive families through adoption or to become self-sustaining members of their communities.
They’re aiming to get 10,700 likes, so help them and Herschel out. All you’ve got to do is, click here and then click “LIKE” at the top of the page. Thanks!
* (The matching donation caps out at $5000, but that’s not chump change.)

Thank you! Sweet Herschel is from my daughter’s orphanage. LWB has been a godsend for the kids from there.
Aww, he’s adorable. I’ve liked the page and will pass this on. I’ve never heard of LWB, but if you like them then I know they are great. You wouldn’t lead us wrong. Thanks for letting me know about him.
Forgot to add that I volunteer for LWB and run the foster care program for their SWI. I can’t wait to watch this baby grow big and strong in LWB’s care.
Mary, how cool. I’m a little jealous. 🙂 Please keep us informed on when he has the surgery and how he is doing.
