We’ve been following the Foster Parent Diaries, a group of essays that appear in the Motherlode column of the New York Times. This week’s column was particularly good at capturing the crux of foster to adopt. We really do want to keep the best interest of the child front and center, but the best interest of the child may not be us–the foster to adopt family. And who the heck really knows what is in his best interest?? Well worth the read.
