CBS and DTFA Home For The HolidaysCBS and the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption have announced the time and date for their annual television special, A Home For The Holidays. On Friday, December 21st at 8 p.m. (EST), the 20th anniversary special will showcase a huge roundup of performers and of course, will continue their tradition of raising awareness for foster care and adoption through their amazing adoption stories.

Hosted this year by LL Cool J, there will be a few updates of adoptive families who were featured in previous years, along with new families sharing their stories. Some of the big names slated to perform include Gwen Stefani, Train, and Lukas Graham. Also woven into the show will be highlights from the annual “Christmas at the Grove” tree-lighting ceremony – including a performance by Andy Grammer.

The annual television show is part of an association with the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and the Children’s Action Network (CAN). “The special is a part of CAN’s National Adoption Campaign to raise awareness of the joys of adopting and to find homes for the children who are waiting.”

We’re always excited here at Creating a Family to help get the word out about the show and about the efforts to raise awareness of the need for forever homes for the many kids who wait in the U.S. foster system. We hope you take the time to enjoy the show.
